"A reflection of isolation screaming in the face of contemporary consciousness."

Raw Bones is operated and run by Clarissa Bones a multi disciplinary Brisbane based Visual Artist and Photographer.

Clarissa has been an exhibiting freelance artist for the past 4 years, most of her work consisted of painting, drawings and mixed media until 2 years ago when she decided to take her interest in photography to another level.

Clarissa considers herself more visual artist rather than photographer and sees the camera as an extension of herself, an artistic voyeur, capturing and creating those moments in time which are usually overlooked is something that really appeals to her; simple portraiture to evoking imagery.

Clarissa utilises her photographs as a canvas, building from them creating conceptual
vivid pieces and placing them within the context of the subconscious and surreal.

Her influences include but are not limited to form, abstraction, nudes, self exploration, nature, the subconscious, expressionism, sexuality, gender, alternative culture, the voyeur and the utilisation of light.

She is always interested in collaborating with models, MUA, designers, stylists and others who share an inspiration to create something different, fun and visually evoking.
